Преимущественным направлением её деятельности является показ частных коллекций, в которых искусство наших дней не является доминирующим. Тем с большими ответственностью и энтузиазмом галерея открывает выставку графики и объектов Рудольфа Хачатряна. Настоящая выставка знакомит нас с «неизвестным» Хачатряном, творчество которого стало принято связывать с рисунками, восходящими к традициям старых мастеров. На этот раз, поражая нас не меньшим мастерством, художник обращается к иной традиции – европейскому модернизму прошедшего века. При этом сквозь «модернистские» мотивы в его работах неизменно проглядывается прообраз, отсылающий к наскальным рельефам, архитектуре тектонических сдвигов, узорам древесных сплетений, средневековым каменным плитам. Мотивы, пережитые художником в графике, становятся основой многомерных и зашифрованных скульптурных объектов, близких к новациям постмодернизма и одновременно напоминающих о доисторической архаике. Из этой мозаичности сплетений старого и нового, современного и традиционного, изощрённого и наивного художник выстраивает своё видение мира, и чем больше зритель втягивается в его «распознавание», тем ярче раскрываются перед ним грани мастерства и образов Рудольфа Хачатряна. Valery Dudakov Foreword The gallery “New Hermitage” does not often organize exhibition by contemporary artists. It mostly represents private collections where contemporary art does not prevail. Consequently, the gallery approaches the task of doing the exhibition by Rudolf Khachatrian’s graphic works and objects with great responsibility. This exhibition acquaints us with “unknown” Khachatrian, whose work is mostly connected with the drawings going back to the tradition of old masters. This time the artist appeals to another tradition, to the European modernism of the latest century. However, through “modernist” motives we can see a prototype referring to petroglyphic relief, to the architecture of tectonics shifts, to the arboreal decorations and medieval stone plates. The motives, experienced by the artist in graphics are becoming basic for multi-dimensional and ciphered sculpture objects close to the new traditions of post-modernism and at the same time reminding of pre-historic archaic. This mosaic interlacement of old and new, modern and traditional, refined and naïve is basic for the artist’s construction of his own vision of the world. The more the spectator enters his “deciphering”, the brighter he sees the creative strength of Rudolf Khachatrian’s images. Галерея «Новый Эрмитаж» не часто проводит выставки работ современных художников. Преимущественным направлением её деятельности является показ частных коллекций, в которых искусство наших дней не является доминирующим. Тем с большими ответственностью и энтузиазмом галерея открывает выставку графики и объектов Рудольфа Хачатряна.

Настоящая выставка знакомит нас с «неизвестным» Хачатряном, творчество которого стало принято связывать с рисунками, восходящими к традициям старых мастеров. На этот раз, поражая нас не меньшим мастерством, художник обращается к иной традиции – европейскому модернизму прошедшего века. При этом сквозь «модернистские» мотивы в его работах неизменно проглядывается прообраз, отсылающий к наскальным рельефам, архитектуре тектонических сдвигов, узорам древесных сплетений, средневековым каменным плитам.

Мотивы, пережитые художником в графике, становятся основой многомерных и зашифрованных скульптурных объектов, близких к новациям постмодернизма и одновременно напоминающих о доисторической архаике.

Из этой мозаичности сплетений старого и нового, современного и традиционного, изощрённого и наивного художник выстраивает своё видение мира, и чем больше зритель втягивается в его «распознавание», тем ярче раскрываются перед ним грани мастерства и образов Рудольфа Хачатряна.

Foreword

The gallery “New Hermitage” does not often organize exhibition by contemporary artists. It mostly represents private collections where contemporary art does not prevail. Consequently, the gallery approaches the task of doing the exhibition by Rudolf Khachatrian’s graphic works and objects with great responsibility.

This exhibition acquaints us with “unknown” Khachatrian, whose work is mostly connected with the drawings going back to the tradition of old masters. This time the artist appeals to another tradition, to the European modernism of the latest century. However, through “modernist” motives we can see a prototype referring to petroglyphic relief, to the architecture of tectonics shifts, to the arboreal decorations and medieval stone plates.
