In Moscow, in the exhibition hall of the USSR Union of Artists, a display of works by Yeranuhi Aslamazyan, Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR, has opened. Opening the exhibition, O. Savostyuk, secretary of the board of the USSR Union of Artists, said:
— Yeranuhi Aslamazyan's exhibition has gathered the best of everything the artist has created. Many kinds of visual art are within her reach. The exhibition presents portraits, landscapes, still lifes and ceramics, and in each of the works on display one feels her own individual vision of the world. All this the artist devotedly conveys to her viewers. Her works are marked by elegance, depth, brightness and lyrical penetration.
Words of warm greeting were addressed to Y. Aslamazyan by N. Nikogosyan, People's Artist of the USSR, and by the artists Y. Vasilyev and A. Papikyan.

In Moscow the new exhibition complex of the State Museum of Oriental Art was ceremonially opened.
Suvorovsky Boulevard, 12a. The old mansion — the celebrated "Lunin House" — looks splendid. Restorers and specialists worked hard to return it to its original appearance, so that everything in it should look as it did at the beginning of the last century. One is struck by the craftsmanship of the fine old painted decoration, the openwork cast iron of the balconies, the beauty of the slender marble columns.
The first day of the exhibition complex — and the first opening. The right to "settle in" the spacious halls of the Lunin House fell to the works of Rudolf Khachatryan, Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, G. Popov, head of the department of fine art at the USSR Ministry of Culture, said:
— It is no accident that the new exhibition complex has opened with a display of works by R. Khachatryan. This artist is widely known; he is original and gifted. His work is marked by high professionalism and by depth of insight into life and into human character. It is full of light, kindness and thought, and therefore it moves and makes one reflect. The display of Rudolf Khachatryan's works is a good beginning for the exhibition complex.
Speeches followed by T. Salakhov, first secretary of the board of the USSR Union of Artists and People's Artist of the USSR; A. Teselkin, director of the State Museum of Oriental Art; D. Nalbandyan, People's Artist of the USSR and Hero of Socialist Labour; and G. Igityan, Honored Art Worker of the Armenian SSR. They spoke of the high level of R. Khachatryan's works, of their psychological subtlety and perfection.
The display presents about 100 works by the artist: portraits, landscapes, still lifes.
The exhibition is enjoying great success with Muscovites and visitors to the capital.
Both exhibitions were visited by K. Demirchyan, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia, and F. Sarkisyan, chairman of the republic's Council of Ministers.
